A perfect Amsterdam wedding...

Amongst Amsterdam's iconic canals, typical ginger-bread houses, thousands of bicycles, Noelia and Adrian set up for their perfect Amsterdam wedding. Their wedding comprised of many original elements, all with a touch of authenticity, to share this place they now call home with their family.

With a vintage feel, subtly felt through the addition of a vintage boat and tram ride through the city, the couple personalised their wedding day to be authentically them.

Getting Ready

N&A opted to get ready in the iconic Amstel Hotel in Amsterdam. As their ceremony took place on a boat, the Amstel offers a beautiful terrace which gives directly to the Amstel River, making it easy for boats to dock at the hotel. The rooms are full of character and the windows provide more than enough light to make your "getting ready images" very special. Noelia's makeup and hair was created by the talented Ellen Sijm Bridal.

The ceremony - A boat ride through Amsterdam's canals

Whenever my friends and family come to Amsterdam and ask me for recommendations, I will always advise them to book a boat to cruise around the canals . It's a unique way to see the beauty of Amsterdam without feeling the sometimes overwhelming business of its streets. Booking a boat is just such a unique way to celebrate your wedding. N & A really wanted to celebrate their love by sharing their love for this city to their closed ones. For the best results on your wedding photographs, I recommend booking a boat with character and lots of natural light. The boat for this particular ceremony was booked with Rederij Cruise with Use and is the Soeverein.

An intimate ceremony, a kiss under the Magere Brug

The ceremony started as beautiful Noelia followed their adorable French Bulldog to make her entrance escorted by her father in law aboard the Soeverein. A "ceremoniemeester" from the city of Amsterdam performed the ceremony and married Noelia and Adrian in front of their close friends and family.

A walk through Amsterdam, a tram to the reception

After a beautiful ceremony in the canals of Amsterdam, we took a few minutes to get some couple's shots around the Amstel Hotel. The hotel itself has absolutely gorgeous stairs which matched perfectly with Noelia's dress style. Due to time constraints we had to stay around the hotel so we made our way to a small street nearby to take images next to iconic Amsterdam doorsteps. A vintage tram then picked up the couple and their guests, for a small ride through Amsterdam before bringing everyone to the reception. We even stopped right at Dam Square, an iconic location in Amsterdam, where we were able to take a few more pictures as well as group shots.

Reception: beautiful greenhouse in Park Frankendael

Park Frankendael is a lovely estate in Amsterdam turned into a beautiful and very green park. The reception took place in the restaurant De Kas, in a private room. The room was extremely cozy where the many candles mixed by the misty atmosphere of the green house provided the perfect ambiance for a lovely night. The reception started with a toast, followed by a beautiful farm to table diner.

Congratulations to Noelia & Adrian on a beautiful wedding, thank you for having me be a part of your special day.
